It’s true what they say; dogs really are your best friend. All they want to do is to be with you, share your space, and stroll into the bathroom when the room is occupied. They want to give you kisses in the morning and gaze longingly at you while you are eating. If you leave and come back 15 minutes later, they act like they haven’t seen you in years.
Dogs don’t care if your home is a sprawling mansion or a two-bedroom fixer-upper. While they may be wondering why you are following them around with dog odor and stain remover, they don’t look at you critically if you haven’t cleaned the windows or surfaces for a while.
Dogs are grateful for all you do for them and are always looking to return the favor. If you’ve had a bad day, your dog is there to listen to it all. They don’t care about the weather or the news. They just care about you. So, here are 10 ways to thank your dog for being a good friend.
#1 – Take him dog shopping.
Nothing says I love you like taking your dog to the pet store. There are so many great treats and toys for them to pick out you just might be there all afternoon.
Let them browse the aisles and go for that special toy or treat they’ve got their eye on. Picking it out by himself will really make him feel special.
#2 – Buy Him or Her a New Bed.
There are so many beds to choose from. There are dog couches, ultimate memory foam loungers, Serta orthopedic quilted couches, Big Barker pillowtop bolster beds, Snoozer cozy dog caves, and so many more.
Choose the best bed based on your dog’s size, weight, and age. For your senior dog, you may want a bed with some cushy extra softness, that feels good on their old bones. Don’t be surprised if it takes a few days for Fido to realize this new bed is for him; but he’ll get the hang of it, soon enough.
